The breathtaking beach of Varkala lies one hour north of the capital Trivandrum in Kerala, and gives a moderately serene alternative to the more famous Kovalam. Radhanagar Beach is located on the Havelock Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which are sprinkled over the Bay of Bengal. The islands are a Union Territory of India. Radhanagar Beach, also known as the Beach Number 7, is famous for its quiet, still water and fine white sand.

The beach of Karwar situated in the northern Karnataka, about 12 kilometers from the Karnataka – Goa border, is one amongst the most popular beaches of Karnataka. The immense Bengali polymath, Rabindranath Tagore, was so beguiled by the magnificence of this town, that he is said to have devoted a whole part of his memoirs on Karwar. Wow!

The zone around the Tarkarli beach in southern Maharashtra, has one of the best coral reefs in India. Moderately untouched by advancement, this shoreline is not on the visitor trail and still holds a town feel complete with homestay facilities right on the beach. Local people can regularly be seen unhurriedly riding bikes or strolling to get around.
